ISRAEL AIRCRAFT INDUSTRIES ACHIEVES NET PROFIT OF $61 MILLION FOR THE FIRST 9 MONTHS OF 2000

Ben-Gurion International Airport, Israel ? Israel Aircraft Industries? net profit for the first 9 months of 2000 reached $60.9 million, as compared to $48.0 million during the same period last year, an increase of 27 percent. Mr. Moshe Keret, President and CEO reported the results, to IAI?s Board of Directors chaired by Gen. (res.) Ori Orr which approved the Company?s results for the first 9 months of 2000.
Mr. Keret also reported to the Board that revenues from January through September 2000 reached $1.56 billion, as compared to $1.45 billion, during the first 9 months of 1999, an increase of 7.6 per cent.
During the first 9 months of this year, IAI signed new contracts worth $1.92 billion, as compared to $2.02 billion during the comparable period last year, a decrease of 5 percent.
