GENERAL (RES.) ORI ORR IS APPOINTED CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF ISRAEL AIRCRAFT INDUSTRIES

General (res.) Ori Orr has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Israel Aircraft Industries.

Mr. Orr is a graduate of the Tel Aviv University with degrees in History and Civil Sciences. He completed continuing education in Business Administration at MIT and in International Relations at Harvard University.

Between 1988 and 1992, he served as the Managing Director of The Jewish National Fund and as a member of its Board of Directors. In addition, he was a Member of the Board of Directors of Israel Military Industries and a Council Member of the Israel Lands Authority.

From 1981 to 1983, Mr. Orr served as General of the Central Command and from 1983 to 1986 as General of the Northern Command.

From 1995 to 1996, he served as Deputy Minister of Defense. From 1992 to 1995, he served as Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Knesset (Israeli Parliament).

From 1996 to 1999, he served as a member of the Secret Services Subcommittee of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee of the Knesset.

He is married with three children.
