Mr. Moshe Keret, Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI)'s President & CEO received a Lifetime Achievement Award in the Field of Export from the Prime Minister of the State of Israel, Mr. Ariel Sharon, and Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Industry Trade & Employment, Mr. Ehud Olmert. The ceremony took place at the Prime Minister's Conference for Export and International Cooperation held today in Tel Aviv, Israel.
The award was presented in recognition and appreciation of Mr. Keret's contribution to the State of Israel's exports, his extraordinary achievements as a businessman and his role as a leading industrial exporter.
Mr. Shraga Brosh, Chairman of the Israel Export & International Cooperation Institute said, "Since 1996 IAI has been consistently profitable. Mr. Keret set in motion processes to achieve higher quality products, reduced production costs and shorter supply times to benefit IAI's customers. These efforts have resulted in a backlog of orders totaling $5.5 billion and is unprecedented in the company's history.
Under Mr. Keret's leadership, IAI's management is placing continuous emphasis on reducing operating expenses and enhancing competitiveness and through a special CEO employee award for encouraging innovation, productivity and creativity."
Approximately 300 leading business people from 35 countries and about 800 invitees from Israel export and business community attended the Conference.
