Airborne Integrated SIGINT Systems Directorate
The Airborne Integrated SIGINT Systems (AISIS) Directorate is responsible for the product line of airborne integrated Signal Intelligence (SIGINT) systems.
Airborne integrated SIGINT systems are multi-disciplinary Signal Intelligence systems, comprised of the following main disciplines:
- Communication Intelligence (COMINT) and Communication Support Means (CSM) sensors and systems.
- Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) and Electronic Support Means (ESM) sensors and systems.
- Communication means: Data Communication (LAN, WAN), Line of Sight (LOS) and Satellite (SATCOM) communication links, Radio links.
- Modified airborne platform (either a UAV or manned aircraft).
- Ground based and airborne Operator centers for mission planning and control, Electronic Order of Battle (EOB) buildup, intelligence exploitation and reporting.
The AISIS Directorate is specializing in the following fields:
- Definition of overall system level solutions to customers' operational requirements
- Overall management and leading of large scale AISIS programs
- Definition of requirements and supervision of aircraft modifications into AISIS configuration, including re-certification of aircraft (supported by IAI Engineering Center)
- System level design, development, integration, setting to work and testing
- Provision of comprehensive Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) package.
