IAI's Bedek Aviation Group Receives FAA Supplemental Type Certificate For Passenger to Cargo Conversion of B737-300

Feb 9, 2004

Israel Aircraft Industries' Bedek Aviation Group has received a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for installation of modifications to convert Boeing
737-300 passenger aircraft into freighter configuration.

In addition to the FAA's STC approval, the modification was certified simultaneously by the European Aviation Safety Authority (EASA) and the Civil Aviation Authority - Israel (CAAI).

Receipt of the approved STC allows Bedek Aviation Group to accelerate their existing cargo conversion production process for B737-300 aircraft.

Since the STC was received in late December 2003, Bedek Aviation Group has already been able to complete some conversions and redeliver aircraft to customers.

IAI's Bedek Aviation Group is one of the world's leaders in converting passenger aircraft into freighter configuration. Bedek Aviation Group has successfully converted a wide variety of aircraft models including Boeing 747, 767 and 737 aircraft.

To date Bedek Aviation Group has converted more than 65 aircraft and has a backlog of 50 additional aircraft awaiting conversion.
