Mr. Jacob Shiran, Deputy General Manager for Operations of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI)/Military Aircraft Group's Malat Division, has been appointed General Manager of the company's Aircraft Division, within the Bedek Aviation Group.
Aircraft Division handles the conversion of passenger aircraft to freighter aircraft, maintenance, overhaul and upgrade of a wide selection of both civil and military aircraft.
Jacob Shiran, born in 1951, has served in the past as Director of "Searcher" UAV Programs and as Director of Special Programs in IAI's Malat Division. Prior to joining IAI, he has served in Israel's Air Force (IAF) as a Lieutenant Colonel, in a number of professional and managerial positions.
Jacob Shiran holds a BSc degree in Aeronautical Engineering (Cum Laude) and an MBA degree, both from the Technion – Israel's leading institute of technology. Mr. Shiran is also a graduate of the Senior Executive Program from the Columbia University in New York, U.S.
