Israel Aerospace Industries' MLM Division (IAI/MLM) will present a variety of its advanced situation rooms, including the MC4, the Unified Information Center (UIC), and the Routine and Emergency Management Operational System (REMOS) at this year's Milipol Paris 2009, November 17th – 20th. Milipol is a worldwide exhibition of internal state security, and MLM's situation rooms provide solutions to the many challenges presented by security threats.
IAI is a security provider to governments, institutions, and multi-nationals. IAI/MLM, a division of the Systems, Missiles, and Space Group, has specific security expertise in the “Safe City” concept of creating safe urban areas, to provide better social and economic environments as well as better preparation for both natural and man-made disasters. Its experience and knowledge of the "Safe City" concept are reflected in its advanced situation room solutions.
The MC4 system assists rescue forces and local authorities during emergency situations and on a day-to-day basis, using data flow obtained from sensors, cameras, and on-the-ground personnel. The MC4 was used effectively during Operation Cast Lead as an Urban Situation Room in Ashkelon, Israel.
The UIC is a crisis and emergency management solution which creates a complete and unified situation report for executive decision-making during large scale crisis situations. The system supports processing, formulation, and display of real–time, high-level integrated situation reports, in a multi-system and multi-organization environment, without the need to implement special interfaces or deal with complicated, costly technical issues.
The REMOS is a comprehensive, flexible Command and Control system that seamlessly integrates and interfaces with existing systems. It offers tracking equipment which enables mobile commanders and field emergency units to communicate with their Command and Control center, and presents their positions on a digital map.
